Obesity occurs when a person consumes more calories from food than he or she burns. It takes 3500 calories to gain one pound. More than one billion people in the world are obese - 650 million adults, 340 million adolescents and 39 million children. The number is still increasing. WHO (World Health Organization) estimates that by 2025 ( 3years from now ), approximately 167 million more adults and children will become obese or overweight. The key to preventing obesity is to act early. Good nutrition will play a major role in this prevention.

Plaque build- up in arteries

Osteoarthritis
Neurodegeneration
